Mr. Tarak Nath Halder ... For the Petitioners. Learned Advocate for the petitioners is present. This application is filed for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge(Jr. Division), 2nd Court, at Sealdah to dispose of the Ejectment Suit No. 31 of 2014 within a period of six months.

Learned Advocate for the petitioners draws attention to the order sheets and submits that an application for restoration of water connection was filed by the defendants on 19.12.2017 and that is still pending disposal.

Learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the plaintiffs being senior citizens are suffering great hardship due to long pendency of the suit.

Upon considering the reliefs sought for in this petition, this court is of the view that it is not necessary to cause service of notice upon the respondents as by this S.D.

order the respondents will not be prejudiced. Considering the prayers made in the application and the nature of the suit, the learned Civil Judge,

(Junior Division), 2nd Court at Sealdah is requested to dispose the application for restoration of water connection Ejectment Suit No. 31 of 2014 within four weeks from the next date fixed.

Upon disposal of the application dated 19.12.2017 for restoration of water connection, the learned Judge shall also make endeavour to see that the suit is disposed of expeditiously without granting unnecessary adjournments.
