Ms. Subhashree Patel Ms. Manasi Roy ......for the State.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year and 10 months and the trial of the case is being unnecessarily dragged as the prosecution is insecured of being successful in the present case.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that 384 Gms. of Heroin were recovered in the present case.

Prosecution has already examined 7 witnesses out of the proposed 12 witnesses.

Learned advocate for the State submits that she has instructions that the number of witnesses may be reduced by the prosecution.

Consequently, I direct the prosecution witness to be concluded by 31.03.2026.

Petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period is over.

For the time being CRM (NDPS) 1017 of 2025 is dismissed with the aforesaid directions.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
