The State of West Bengal Mr. Siddhartha Paul ...for the Petitioner Being aggrieved and dissatisfied with the order dated 7th April, 2025, the petitioner has preferred the instant application. By the impugned order, the learned court below issued warrant of arrest against the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner obtained bail on 7.9.2015 and since then, he was regularly attending court but due to mis-communication on that particular date, he was found absent without any step and as such, the court below issued warrant of arrest against the petitioner. Now the petitioner undertakes to surrender before the Trial court.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, I find that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous, the copy of the service of the application upon the opposite party is dispensed with.

In such circumstances, the instant application being CRR 3532 of 2025 along with connected application being CRAN 1 of 2025 are hereby disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court below within a period

of two weeks from date and in the event of surrender by the petitioner, the court below will dispose of his prayer in accordance with law without being influenced by any observations made herein.

The impugned order dated 7.4.2025 by which, the warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner, shall remain stayed for a period of two weeks or till the petitioner surrenders before the court below, whichever is earlier.
