Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner initiated a complaint case in the year 2015 under the provisions of Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The case has been proceeding at a very slow speed and finally after the prosecution evidence was over and the examination of the accused persons under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was completed, dates have been fixed for examination of the defence witnesses. Presently three witnesses for the defence have been examined and the next date has been fixed on 25.09.2023.

Having considered the fact that the case was initiated in the year 2015 and more than eight years would complete in course of this year, I direct the learned trial court to fix a schedule on and from 25.09.2023 in such a manner that the final verdict of the case is pronounced by 31.12.2023. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2918 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
