1. The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited shall hold an inspection of the premises. The petitioners must indicate to the distribution company the availability of the space required for installation of a transformer, during such inspection. The area shall be identified.

2. It is submitted by Mr. Nayak that as the authority is trying to execute a project by laying underground cables, some time should be allowed for grant of connection.

3. Learned advocate for the respondent nos.4 to 6 submits that a civil suit is pending in respect of the property in question and an order of status quo has been passed.

4. This court is of the view that till the civil suit is decided, the building cannot remain without electricity. The grant of electricity shall not create any equity in favour of any of the parties. The

connection shall abide by the result of the suit. The authority shall issue quotation within a month from date of inspection and thereafter the authority shall grant connection within two months from receipt of the quotation money and subject to compliance of all other formalities. It is made clear that the civil suit will continue independently. The grant of connection will not create any equity in favour of the petitioners.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.

6. All the parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
