Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of Belghoria P.S. Case No. 457 dated 21.09.2023 being registered for investigation, even after 23 months, the investigating agency could not arrive at a logical conclusion. Petitioner's main allegation against the accused persons relates to cheating, forgery and highhandedness.

State has submitted a report. According to the learned advocate appearing for the State, the investigation is at the final stages.

I find that the petitioner is not having any knowledge regarding the progress and the manner in which investigation is progressing. The said report also reflects that on completion of investigation, charge-sheet would be submitted before the jurisdictional Magistrate at the earliest.

As 23 months have passed since the investigation has commenced, the investigating officer of Belghoria P.S. Case No. 457 dated 21.09.2023 within a period of thirty days from date will inform the progress of the investigation to the petitioner and the grounds on which resistance is being faced by the investigating officer to arrive at a logical conclusion to submit report under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure before the jurisdictional court.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 18831 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
