...for alleged Contemnor No.2 Pursuant to the Rule issued on 21st March, 2025, Mr. Ashok Chatterjee, Chairman, Naihati Municipality is present online and he has tendered unconditional apology for causing delay in releasing the amount payable to the applicant in terms of order dated 25th September, 2023, which is accepted.

It is submitted by learned advocate representing the applicant that amount payable to the applicant has been remitted to the account of the applicant in terms of the order dated 25th September, 2023. However, it is submitted that quantification made by Municipality towards arrear pension is not clear so far the applicant is concerned.

In view of apology tendered on behalf of the alleged contemnor no.1 and submission made on behalf of the applicant, contempt application is disposed of and contempt proceedings stand dropped.

However, this order shall not preclude the applicant to take steps, in accordance with law, if applicant is not satisfied with the quantification of the amount which is paid to him.

Personal appearance of the alleged contemnor no.1 stands dispensed with.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
