Instruction has been forwarded by the Executive Engineer (Civil)/Building Department/ Borough -VII signed on 14th March, 2023 mentioning that 3rd April is the date fixed for demolition of the unauthorised structure.

Steps for demolition is being taken in compliance of the order dated September, 09, 2021 under Section 400 (1) of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) and the Officer-in-Charge, Tiljala Police Station are directed to render all necessary co-operation and assistance to men and agents of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation at the time of demolition of the unauthorised structure, if sought for.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Instruction given by the Executive Engineer (Civil)/Building Department/ Borough -VII be retained with the records.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
