Report submitted by the State is taken on record. Heard learned counsels for the parties.

It is submitted by both the parties that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further. The learned counsels seek quashing of the proceeding being CGR Case No.879 of 2020 in view of such settlement arrived at by and between the petitioners and the private opposite party on 22nd March, 2023.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue further shall only be a futile exercise.

The revisional application being CRR 3240 of 2024 is allowed.

The proceeding being CGR Case No. 879 of 2020 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, South 24 Parganas is quashed.

The petitioners be set at liberty at once and be discharged from their bail bonds.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
