Let the documents, as produced on behalf of the State, be kept on record. From the said documents, it appears that chemical examiner's report has been obtained and a supplementary charge sheet has been filed.

Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considered the materials in the case diary. It appears that contraband substance above commercial quantity was recovered from the exclusive possession of the petitioner and that as such, the statutory restrictions are clearly attracted. In view thereof, the petitioner's prayer for bail is refused at this stage. Mr. Alamgir, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, however, has expressed his anguish and inconvenience as regards the delay in progress of trial.

We request the learned court below to take up the issue of consideration of charges on the date fixed, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. In the event, the charges are framed, the learned court below shall expeditiously conduct the trial and conclude the same at the earliest.
