Mr. Sayan Ganguly ... for the respondent Nos.2/State The learned advocate representing the respondent No.2/State has filed a report in the form of an affidavit inter alia stating that in compliance of the order dated 5th December, 2024 passed by this Court the Joint Director, Directorate of Panchayats & Rural Development, West Bengal has been addressed by a communication dated 29th January, 2025 forwarding the necessary documents regarding compassionate appointment of the petitioner for consideration.

In view of the notification No. 251-Emp. Dt.

03.12.2013 "the final approval of appointment on compassionate ground shall be taken only at the level of the Secretary/Principal Secretary of the Department with regard to the approval of the concerned Ministersin-Charge or Minister of State of the concerned Department".

The appropriate authority as aforesaid is to decide the compassionate appointment to be granted in favour of the petitioner within six weeks from the date of passing of this order.

The learned advocate representing the respondent No.2/State is to communicate a copy of this order to the concerned authorities for due compliance.

Let the matter be fixed on 5th May, 2025 for filing compliance report by the respondent No.2/State.
