Allegation is that violence took place on the date of poll that is on 8th July, 2023. Complaint of violence and vandalism was lodged before the Election Commission and the Block Development Officer on 22nd July, 2023.

I am of the opinion that the petitioner ought to have lodged complaint immediately

after the incident took place. The complaint appears to have been lodged long after the cause of action took place.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
