The petitioner seeks implementation of the order passed by the Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality communicated vide letter dated June 9, 2022.

The Municipality has opined that the construction made by the private respondents is illegal and unauthorized. Direction has been passed for demolition of the construction within three months. Time to comply the order has expired. The persons responsible have failed to act in accordance with the direction passed by the Municipality.

In view of the above, the Municipality is directed to implement the order of demolition and recover the cost of demolition from the private respondents.

The Officer-in-Charge of the concerned police station is directed to render all necessary help and

assistance to the men and agents of the Municipality at the time of implementing the order of demolition. The order of demolition shall be implemented at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
