A report has been submitted on behalf of the State. Let the same be kept with the record.

Report reflects that the landlady has informed the petitioner and the private respondent/ his wife to take back their belongings which are kept under lock and key. Additionally, it has been stated in the report that neither the petitioner nor his wife visited their tenanted portion to get back their household articles and/or contacted with the landlady who is ready and willing to hand over their belongings to vacate the rented portion of the house. Petitioner presently submits that he is interested to get back his belongings. In case, the petitioner approaches the Officer-in-Charge of Raina

Police Station to take back his belongings, in that case, an inventory be prepared by the police authorities and if the landlady as submitted is willing, she shall open the padlock, police authorities will prepare a seizure list after registering a General Diary Entry and keep a detailed list of the articles with a copy of the same being handed over to the petitioner. In case the police authorities feel that a notice is to be served upon the private respondent/wife of the present petitioner, police authorities may first direct the petitioner to comply with the same and thereafter proceed and follow the instructions as stated above.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 19498 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
