Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the petitioner's application for getting new electricity connection, the CESC Limited has not yet taken any steps thereon.

Learned counsel for the CESC Limited, on instruction, submits that the CESC Limited apprehends the splitting of load in the event such connection is given to the petitioner, since already there is existence of an electricity line in the said premises at present.

It would not be prudent for the writ court to interfere in such matters, as jurisdiction has been conferred by law on the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO) to decide such disputes.

Accordingly, WPA No. 19208 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to move the concerned GRO with the dispute as raised in the present writ petition.

As and when such application is made, the GRO shall decide the same upon hearing all concerned parties in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from date of preferring such application before the GRO.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
