Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. He refers to the contents in the first information report.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim dated July 25, 2022 made before the Doctor. She also refers to the injury report of the victim The injury report of the victim shows that the victim received 60% burn injury. In her statement recorded on July 25, 2022, the victim names the petitioner as one of the persons who poured kerosene oil on her and set her ablaze. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 4087 of 2022 is dismissed.
