Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits, upon instructions, that the amount of Rs.2,70,761.68/- as directed to effect the energization cannot be paid by the petitioner. He further submits that the similarly placed persons have been given electric connection at a lesser amount of only Rs.8,000/. It has also been submitted that the figure has been calculated arbitrarily.

It appears from a report filed by the Assistant Engineer and Station Manager, Nalhati Customer Care Centre, WBSEDCL in September 2024 that the service connection of the petitioner is not techno commercially feasible.

Based on such report the petitioner intends to raise his grievance before the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, Birbhum.

It will be open for the petitioner to raise such dispute before the competent authority.

In the event such dispute is raised, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law at the earliest.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
