The subject matter of challenge relates to the order dated 18.05.2023 passed in connection with Criminal Misc. Case No. 518 of 2023 under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the learned Sub-Divisional Executive Magistrate, Uluberia, Howrah. Having regard to the nature of the orders so passed and the dispute being between two individuals and no element of public involvement relating to law and order being associated with the problem, I am of the opinion that further continuance of the proceedings beyond the statutory period of 60 days as envisaged under Section 144(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the Learned Executive Magistrate, Uluberia, Howrah is directed to drop Criminal Misc. Case No. 518 of 2023 on the order being brought to the notice to the said court or the authority.

With the aforesaid observations, the present criminal revisional application being CRR 2934 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
