This contempt application has been taken out alleging willful violation of an order dated December 20, 2018, whereby W.P. 25007 (W) of 2018 was disposed of. The operative portion of the said order reads as follows: "Accordingly, I grant liberty to the petitioner to make a comprehensive representation with all supporting documents within a period of two weeks after 'Christmas Vacation' to the respondent no.4. If such a representation is made within the time period indicated above, the respondent no.4 shall take a reasoned decision on the petitioner's representation in accordance with the applicable rules/regulations/circulars/ notifications within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the representation after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorised representative. The decision so taken by the respondent no.4 shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from the date of the decision."

In this contempt application, one Anand Moktan has been impleaded as the contemnor being described as the Regional Manager, State Bank of India, Regional Business Office, Region-II, Bolpur, District - Birbhum. It is today submitted on behalf of the alleged contemnor that a new incumbent has joined that post very recently, whose name is, Subodh Kumar Gope. Let the said Subodh Kumar Gope be added as a party-respondent in this contempt application.

Learned Advocate representing the alleged contemnor says that Mr. Gope shall comply with the order in question immediately.

Accordingly, this contempt application is disposed of by directing the added respondent, namely, Mr. Subodh Kumar Gope to comply with the order dated December 20, 2018 by considering the representation of the petitioner that he has made and disposing of the same in accordance with the applicable Rules/Regulations/Circulars/ Notifications within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorised representative. The decision so taken by him shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from the date of the decision.

Let urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with all necessary formalities.
