Case No.728 of 2020 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Chandannagore, Hooghly, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This court is informed that the case is pending since 2020 and six witnesses out of eleven charge-sheeted witnesses have been examined.

In view of the above, the learned trial court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within six months from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

CRR 3262 of 2024 is accordingly disposed of.
