The petitioner alleges fraud at the behest of the private respondents.

Complaint was lodged before the Hare Street Police Station and Chhatna Police Station through the legal representative of the petitioner.

On the basis of the complaint, Sub-Inspector of Police of Chhatna Police Station was directed to enquire the matter and to verify the allegations raised by the petitioner.

The police contacted the petitioner but the petitioner, for reasons best known to him, did not take any steps before the Chhatna Police Station.

The cause of action appears to have arisen at

Chhatna where money transactions took place from the bank located at Chhatna.

The private respondents disclosed their fictitious address within the Hare Street Police Station. The Officer-in-Charge, Chhatna Police Station is directed to investigate the complaint and take necessary steps in accordance with law.

The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the investigation before the Chhatna Police Station. The investigation shall be conducted and concluded at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Report filed by the Inspector-in-Charge, Chhatna Police Station signed on September 7, 2022 be taken on record.
