Mr. Sandip Bhagat .........for the Respondent No. 4 Ms. Suvasree Ghosh .........for the CESC Limited The grievance of the petitioner is directed against refusal of the CESC Limited to supply an electricity connection by installing a new meter. On behalf of the private respondent, it is submitted that the private respondents have objected to the electricity connection being installed at their premises. Admittedly, the entire premises is tenanted and the landlord is untraceable.

The CESC Limited submits that they are ready and willing to install a new electricity connection at the subject premises in a common service position after compliance with all statutory formalities. The entire amount of Rs.3,136/- has been paid by the petitioner to CESC Limited.

In view of the above, WPA 18878 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing CESC Limited to install a separate electricity connection at a common service position within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order

and after compliance with any other statutory formalities. In carrying out the above exercise, the Officer-in-Charge, Shibpur Police Station is directed to give all possible assistance to CESC Limited if the circumstances so warrant and after breaking any padlock, if necessary. In carrying out of the above exercise, the petitioner is to bear the entire expenses of the police.

Affidavit of Service filed on behalf of the petitioner be kept with the records.
