Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that in spite of Monteswar P.S. Case No.360 of 2025 having been registered for investigation, no steps have been taken and the petitioner no.1's daughter-in-law has been abducted/kidnapped after the accused persons trespassed into the house of the petitioners. State has submitted a report.

Report encloses amongst others the statement of the victim under Section 183 of the BNSS.

I have considered the statement of the victim and I am of the view that the victim has already expressed her mind in the statement under Section 183 of the BNSS.

Having considered that police authorities have taken appropriate steps at the relevant point of time and is also progressing with the case, it would be in fairness of the circumstances that the police authorities sent the progress report to the de facto complainant in case the investigation is not concluded within a period of 90 days, preferably after the period of 90 days is over.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 18993 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
