Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the Petitioner Ms. Oindrila Ghosal ...for CESC 26-08-2025 AKG Ct. 15 The petitioner seeks restoration of electricity connection for his premises located at 19/1, Bank Danga Lane, Bally, Howrah.

Learned advocate appearing for the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) submits that the latest inspection reveals that no electricity connection presently exists in the said building.

It is further submitted that although a meter room was found at the premises, the same is in a dilapidated condition. According to CESC, if the meter room and board are duly renovated and repaired, an electricity connection shall be effected in favour of the petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall undertake the renovation and repair works within a period of two weeks from date. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to complete the renovation and repair works within a period of two weeks from date and

intimate the CESC accordingly. Upon receipt of such intimation, CESC shall provide electricity connection to the petitioner within three weeks thereafter, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all requisite formalities. Accordingly, WPA 18781 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
