The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject Mathematics (Hons/PG) at Khanpur Gangche High School, District-Paschim Medinipur, he applied for general transfer through "Utsashree Portal" on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school since is more than 95 kilometres, he is unable to look after his dependent family members.

The West Bengal Central School Service Commission rejected the said application on the ground that the petitioner is the single teacher of the subject in the school. Mr. Ray, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable. Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension as such the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 19306 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
