The petitioners participated in the recruitment process pursuant to the notification dated 23rd December, 2020 by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

The petitioners pray for being included as exempted category candidates.

The petitioners applied before the Secretary of the Board for treating them in the exempted category and allege that the representations have not been considered till date.

As it appears that the representation filed by the petitioners are pending consideration at the end of the Board of Primary Education, accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 3 being the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary

Education to take a decision with regard to the prayer of the petitioners for being treated as candidates in the exempted category.

The Secretary shall take a decision in the matter within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The Secretary shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

The petitioners are directed to forward a copy of their individual representation to the Secretary of the Board at the time of communicating the order of this Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
