Bihani Ms. Papiya Banerjee Bihani Mr. Soumyajit Ghosh ....for the University The petitioner was a three year B.A. Honours (English) student of Burdwan University. He scored 22 marks in Economics (G), Paper-I of Part-I examination which was held in the year 2017. He applied for review of the said paper. After the review, the score in the said paper was enhanced by 4 marks.

Since the petitioner even after the review, could not obtain the required pass marks (34 marks) in the said paper, he was not given the degree by the University. A plain reading of the writ petition suggests that it is the basic grievance of the petitioner that the answers given by him were not properly evaluated by the examiner. He should have been awarded more marks against the answers given by him.

The grievance of the petitioner cannot be entertained. Petitioner's answer script was duly reviewed by

an examiner and upon review the marks were enhanced to 26 from 22.

There is no question of second review of his answer script. This Court cannot reassess the answers or examine the justification of the marks awarded to the petitioner by the examiner who reviewed the answer script.

In that view of the matter no relief can be granted to the writ petitioner.

Accordingly, WPA 17839 of 2019 is dismissed.
