Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further against the petitioners.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the matter to continue against the petitioners shall be a futile exercise.

The revisional application, being CRR 3269 of 2024 is allowed. The proceedings being ACGR case no. 2328 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, South 24 Parganas, Alipore, qua the petitioners be quashed. The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.

It is made clear that the proceeding shall continue against the other accused persons.
