1. The petitioner is the wife of the deceased person. She says that she is in custody for six months. Charge-sheet has been submitted. She prays for bail.

2. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws our attention to statements of witnesses recorded under Sections 161/164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The statements implicate the petitioner.

3. It prima facie appears that the petitioner induced the victim to commit suicide by jumping in front of a running train. We are also told that the petitioner was absconding and only after her application for anticipatory bail was rejected, she surrendered.

4. In view of the prima facie incriminating material against the petitioner, we are not inclined to allow her prayer for bail, at this stage.

5. The application being CRM (DB) 2509 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed.
