Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities in spite of a specific case being Kalighat PS Case No. 81 dated 20.04.2025 having been registered for investigation. Different prayers had been advanced before this Court. However, the grievance of the petitioner continues.

Learned advocate for the respondent no. 4 submits that he is carrying on a different business and has no connection with that of the petitioner. State has submitted a report which reflects that investigation of the case is still continuing. More than days have passed since the

investigation commenced.

Accordingly, the Investigating Authority will send a progress report to the defacto complainant regarding the steps taken. In case, the defacto complainant is dissatisfied with the progress report or the progress of the investigation, appropriate application be advanced before the learned Magistrate in seisin of Kalighat PS Case No. 81 dated 20.04.2025. Learned Magistrate will assess and ascertain regarding the grievance of the petitioner and pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 18909 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report submitted be kept with the record.
