Alim Sekh v. The Wbsedcl & ORS

2018-11-15Hon'Ble Justice Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya2 pages

25th November, (AK) 01-02 CPAN 316 of 2019 In WPA 18291 of 2018 Alim Sekh Vs.

Suprio Kumar Mahato and another Mr. Arindam Chattopadhyay Ms. Lipika Chatterjee Mr. Soumik Dey ...for the petitioner/applicant.

Mr. Srijan Nayak Mr. Koushik Roy ...for the alleged contemnors/WBSEDCL.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that despite the order dated November 11, 2022 having indicated that the Distribution Licensee shall give electricity connection over the alternative route, no such connection has yet been given.

Learned counsel appearing for the WBSEDCL submits that it was recorded in the said order that learned counsel for the applicant had sought an adjournment to take appropriate instructions on the issue.

In view of no such instruction having been intimated, the connection has not been effected as yet. Be that as it may, learned counsel for the WBSEDCL seeks a fortnight's time to ensure that such connection is given over the alternative route, since it is clear now that the applicant is apparently agreeable.

Accordingly, the matter shall next be enlisted on December 9, 2022 for passing further orders.

The WBSEDCL shall give the connection over the alternative route in the meantime.
