Ms. Debollena Ghosh ............for the petitioner Mr. Debasish Ghosh Mr. Domingo Gomes ......for the State The petitioner seeks information from the concerned authority about the examination for recruitment to the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) Examination held in January, 1994. The petitioner went up till the stage of interview which was held on 5th December, 1994. The petitioner was not able to clear the examination after that. The petitioner suspects foul play at the stage of evaluation and the recruitment later on. The writ petition has been filed after a delay of 27 years. The ground given for the delay is of the petitioner being made aware of the recent education related scam in the State.
Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the Public Service Commission is the authority which is to reply to the queries raised. No one appears for the PSC despite being served.
WPA 19360 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the PSC and its officials to dispose of the petitioner's applications for information within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
