Mr. Samim Ahammed, Mr. Arka Maiti ...for the Petitioner Mr. Shubradip Roy ...for the Respondent Nos. 1 to 7 02-09-2022 AKG Ct. 238 It appears that the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the Central Information Commission, respondent no. 8, against the inaction of the Public Information Officer of Visva-Bharati, respondent no. 5 as well as of the first appellate authority, respondent no. 7 in not providing the information as sought for by him. The petitioner wanted to know the reason for not extending him the benefit of the career advancement scheme being an Associate Professor of the VisvaBharati. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite preferring the said appeal on November 8, 2021, the information sought for has not yet been provided to the petitioner.

In that view of the matter, there is no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, this writ petition being WPA 19359 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction upon the Central Information Commission to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner, which is appearing at page 87 of this petition in accordance with law within one

month from the date of communication of this order, if the appeal is otherwise in form.
