Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for over 640 days. The police filed charge sheet, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. He submits that the petitioner was not last seen with the victim. Learned advocate for the State submits that apart from one offending weapon, a teacup was seized from the possession of the petitioner, which bears the photograph of the victim and her son. Considering the gravity of the offence, involvement of the petitioner, therein and the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
