For the opposite party no.2 The revisional application was preferred challenging the proceedings arising out of Bidhannagar (North) Police Station Case No.274 dated 6th December, 2012 for quashing of the proceedings before this Court.

During the pendency of this revisional application, it was submitted that a compromise has been effected between the parties. Accordingly, Mr. Madhusudan Sur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State was directed to submit a report before this Court enclosing the statement and declaration of the de facto complainant as to whether she intends to pursue with the same case. Today the matter has been taken up. A report has

been submitted. The report is annexed by an e-mail of one Shyama Agarwal where she has stated that there has been an amicable settlement of the dispute outside the Court and she does not want to pursue the proceedings relating to the police station case. Having regard to the nature of the offences complained of which are under Sections 420/406/468/471/506 of the Indian Penal Code relating to private dispute, I am of the view that there is no public policy involved in the matter.

Accordingly, all further proceedings of Bidhannagar (North) Police Station Case No.274 dated 6th December, 2012, including the charge sheet submitted therein as also the charge so framed, is hereby quashed.

Consequently, CRR 2959 of 2023 is allowed. The connected application, being CRAN 1 of 2023, is also disposed of. Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. Report so submitted by Mr. Sur be kept with the record. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
