Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner was assaulted by his in-laws. He submits that the mother of the petitioner and the sister of the petitioner were granted anticipatory bail by the Jurisdictional Court. He refers to the injury report of the petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary including the injury report of the victim and the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The de-facto complainant suffered injuries, prima facie appearing from the injury report. The petitioner before us is the husband. The police complaint was lodged within fifteen months of the marriage.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

In such circumstances, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 4111 of 2022 is dismissed.
