1. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner a case is pending for last three years and examination of witnesses have not commenced.

2. Under such circumstances, he prays for expeditious disposal of the case.

3. Petitioner has a fundamental right to speedy trial under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. Criminal case is pending against him for last three years and examination of witnesses have not commenced.

4. Accordingly, I direct the trial Court to take prompt steps for examination of witnesses by fixing schedules at short intervals and conclude the trial at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

5. With these observations, CRR 3285 of 2024 is disposed of. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
