Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 110 days and nothing has been recovered from his possession. Shantanu of Mogra and Shantanu of Taki, North 24-Parganas are different persons. The petitioner is known as Dhiraj Halder and not as Shantanu.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail. According to her, there is sufficient incriminating material against the present petitioner. The petitioner was placed on Test Identification Parade and he was identified by the concerned witnesses.

As there are sufficient incriminating evidence against the petitioner, his prayer for bail should be rejected. Learned counsel for the State has Signed By :

also pointed out that there are several criminal antecedents of the present petitioner.

Considering the material on record and that it is an organized crime that is involved, the involvement of the petitioner cannot be ruled out.

Accordingly, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail.

The application for bail being CRM (NDPS) 1247 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.

All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
