The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. He alleges massive rigging, vandalism and violence at the time of poll.

The election was conducted on 8th July, 2023 and the result of the election was declared on 11th July, 2023. It appears that complaint was lodged before the authority on 8th July, 2023 with prayer for lodging FIR and with further prayer to declare the election null and void.

The allegation made by the petition is required to be adjudicated upon adducing evidence. The same cannot be done by the writ court.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
