The writ application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of the Certificate Case initiated against the respondent no. 5, arising out of Gratuity Case No. G-106/2019, pending before the Certificate Officer, Howrah.

Learned counsel for the State has placed a report wherein it appears that warrant of arrest was issued by the Certificate Officer, Howrah, in the present case.

The order of the Controlling Authority was passed on 09.02.2024 and Certificate was issued on 07.06.2024. The Certificate Officer commenced the proceedings on 14.08.2024 and warrant of arrest was issued in due course. It appears that the Certificate
Officer is proceeding in accordance with law expeditiously.

Accordingly, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the Certificate Officer shall make all endeavour to dispose of the proceedings preferably within six months from the date of this order in accordance with law.
6. Connected application, if any, stands disposed of.
7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
