Mr. Sarbananda Sanyal Ms. P. Chakraborty ....for the petitioner The revisional application has been filed for seeking expeditious disposal of proceeding being Misc. Case No. 398 of 2024 under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (hereinafter in short 2005 Act).
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner filed a proceeding under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate at Purba Burdwan being Misc. Case No. 398 of 2024.
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the proceeding has been pending for a considerable period of time and the petition for ad interim maintenance has not yet been taken up for consideration by the learned court.
From the perusal of the materials on record, it transpires that the proceeding was initiated on June 7, 2024. It was transferred to the learned court of 4th
Judicial Magistrate at Purba Burdwan on June 21, 2024. Since then, the matter has been pending for service Report and appearance of the opposite parties. The opposite parties appear in the case of June 13, 2025 and the case was fixed on September 12, 2025 for filing the written objection on behalf of the opposite party.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, it would be appropriate to dispose of the instant revisional application with requests to the learned 4th Judicial Magistrate, Burdwan to try and endeavour to consider and dispose of Misc. Case No. 398 of 2024 as early as possible without affording any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
The revisional application being CRR 3600 of 2025 is disposed of.
