Police report has been circulated to all the parties.

The dispute has narrowed down to determine as to who is the owner of the property, on which a political party has constructed their office. The petitioner as well as the private respondents have claimed right to the same.

Counsel for the State submits that the property belongs to it.

In that view of the matter, the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Majeraant, Post Office - Kumirmora, Police Station - Chanditala, District - Hooghly, shall cause an enquiry into the title of the

land on which the political party has constructed an Office.

If it is found that the land belongs to the State, immediate and urgent steps would have be taken to demolish and remove the said office. If it is, however, found that the property belongs to the petitioner or the private respondents, a report to that effect shall be handed over to the parties for taking steps in accordance with law.

It is directed that the investigation into the FIR registered on the complaint of the petitioner, shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from date.

The Officer-in-charge, Chanditala Police Station shall look into the apprehension of threat to life of the petitioner and take appropriate steps.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

The minutes of the meeting held between the CRPF and the State Police is taken on record. There will be no order as to costs.
