The petitioners have been facing trial in connection with Deganga Police Station Case No.130 of 2011 dated 6th March 2011 under Section 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Grievance of the petitioners are that although charge-sheet was submitted in the month of March 2011 and charge was framed on 5th December 2019 yet till date there has been no progress in the case. As the case was registered more than 10 years ago, I direct the learned Trial Court to fix at least one date for recording of evidence in every three months so that the trial of the case can be progressed and the same can be concluded within a reasonable period of time. Learned Trial Court will at liberty to take assistance of the concerned police station for issuing summons for appearance of the witnesses. All efforts must be taken for concluding the trial within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observation, CRR 2516 of 2021 is disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
