The petitioner is in custody for about four years and renews his prayer for bail primarily on the ground of his incarceration.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down by this Court on two earlier occasions considering the material on record. This Court directed the learned trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date. This Court is informed that the Investigating Officer who is the last witness is being examined at present. Trial is at its fag end.

Considering the material on record, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned trial Court is directed to take the proceedings to its logical conclusion expeditiously without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. In view of the above, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The bail application is disposed of.
