The petitioner is serving in a secondary school. He is under suspension at present and is receiving his subsistence allowance.

The petitioner submits that he is entitled to a higher rate of subsistence allowance. The rate, according to which, the subsistence allowance is liable to be paid to him has been prepared in the form of a chart annexed to the writ petition at pages 75 and 76.

Leave is granted to the petitioner to forward the chart annexed at pages 75 and 76 to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), North 24 Parganas along with a covering letter disclosing his prayer. On receipt of the representation along with the chart, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), North 24 Parganas shall consider the same in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. If any amount is found due and payable to the petitioner, steps shall be taken to release the same at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties as early as possible.
