In spite of service, none appears on behalf of the State-respondents.

The petitioner participated in the 1st State Level Selection Test, 2016 for recruitment of Assistant Teachers (Classes XI & XII) and was successful, in pursuance thereof she was appointed as an Assistant Teacher at Christopher Road Government Sponsored Higher Secondary School for Girls of the subject Political Science (PG). The petitioner is complaining that she did not receive her salaries from the date of her appointment till March, 2019.

The petitioner is praying release of her arrear salaries along with interest.

The learned Counsel for the State submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, a

major portion of the said arrear salaries has been paid to the petitioner.

It appears from the record that a representation of the petitioner for payment of such arrear salaries is pending before the District Inspector of Schools (S.E), Kolkata, the respondent no. 2 herein, the said representation forms part of the writ petition, being annexure 'P-5'.

The respondent no. 2 is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation as expeditiously as possibly, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order after giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing.

W.P.A. 19050 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
