Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim noted in the medical papers discloses involvement of the petitioner in her assault which is supported by medical evidence. Hence, we are of the opinion that in view of the gravity of offence, this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
