The petitioner complains that antisocials have prevented him from completing construction of a property of which he is the promoter. The incident is stated to have occurred on 04.03.2022 where the petitioner is stated to have been attacked with rods and threatened with a revolver. A complaint was lodged on 11.04.2022 and the police, after making enquiries, could not find the petitioner's complaint sustained.

This Court is of the view that in the event of any physical assault of the petitioner, there would definitely have been physical injuries and medical reports ought to have been produced. No such documents are available.

In these circumstances, this matter does not call for any interference. There is no inaction on the part of the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.

However, in the event of any further incident in this regard, the petitioner may take steps in accordance with law.

The I. C., Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

The report of the I. C., Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate dated 01.09.2022 is taken on record. There will be no order as to costs.
