The petitioner claims to be the widow daughter of a deceased primary school teacher. She prays for family pension.

Her application seeking family pension is pending consideration at the end of the District Inspector of Schools, Primary Education, South 24 Parganas.

Without going into the merit of the application made by the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools, Primary Education, South 24 Parganas to consider and dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for obtaining family pension in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and

communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

If the petitioner is found entitled to the benefit as claimed, then, necessary consequential steps shall be taken in the matter forthwith.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 19th July, 2024 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
