1. The list of dates filed by the respondent authorities be kept on record.

2. The present writ petition was filed substantially with the grievance that despite certain information having been sought by the petitioner from the respondent authorities, such information was not being furnished, pertaining to the number of vacancies of Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates and the total number of appointments given to the OBC candidates as well as vacancies in respect of the selection process of 2006 for the post of Assistant Primary Teachers.

3. It transpires from the affidavit-in-opposition that after filing of the present writ petition, such information has been supplied in its entirety by the respondent authorities.

4. Although learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in prayer (b), the petitioner has also sought for a mandamus commanding the respondent to consider the candidature of the petitioner if there is any vacancy of the OBC candidates in the 2006 selection process, this court is informed by the respondent authorities that another writ petition, seeking the self-same relief, bearing WPA No. 26334 of 2023, is also sub judice before this Court.

5. Thus, insofar as the first relief is concerned, the writ petition has spent its force and has become infructuous. Relief (b), being unconnected with the primary relief in the writ petition and having been sought in a different writ petition as well, cannot be granted within the limited scope of the instant writ petition on the principle of misjoinder of causes of action.

6. Hence, WPA No. 19475 of 2022 is disposed of as infructuous without any order as to costs.

7. Nothing in this order, however, shall preclude the petitioner from seeking relief (b) sought in the present writ petition in the other pending writ petition, bearing WPA No. 26334 of 2023, if the petitioner is otherwise entitled to such relief in law.

8. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
